Alec + Emily {City Romance Engagement}

These two are awesome. Not only were they so cute together strolling around Morris Avenue in downtown Birmingham, but they also let me try out doing my first Periscope broadcast live during their session! (If you want to see it, download the app & follow us @amberfordphoto)

This was the first pose we filmed on Periscope... ah the romance <3 <3

After Morris Avenue, we drove a few blocks down to Railroad Park & did one more live broadcast, I think the second one ended up better than the first but check it out for yourself! This was the first of 2 poses we did for the Periscope - what a view!

And the second pose, so much love-ly-ness!

The park really blew me away this time, it was so gorgeous! I have not been a big fan of it but I think my mind is officially changed, just look at them in this scenery!

And then the sun started setting... it was wonderful to be there with Alec & Emily and get to capture the end of such an amazing session.

Oh and to finish up, these two broke out their team gear for a little cheer-off & shaker fight (friendly, of course)! They'll have a house divided on Iron Bowl day but I think they can make it work, haha!

Hope you all enjoyed this little peek at their session, check back with us next summer for their wedding photos!!

Tristan + Brittany {Riverside Wedding}

It truly was love at first sight for Brittany when she first met Tristan after a mutual friend introduced them to each other. On Valentine's Day this year they were having a romantic dinner at home when he decided to pop the question and as you can see, she said YES! That's how their love story began & here's a look at the biggest day of it so far...

Tristan & Brittany love to fish together so little fishing details were everywhere, like this fishing lure in Tristan's boutineer.

Another sweet detail Brittany added was the little "I do" that she had painted on her toe nails!

Brittany was so nervous before this moment & as soon as she & her sweetheart saw each other, all the nerves melted away <3

It was overcast all day at the Cypress Inn in Tuscaloosa but nothing could stop the smiles on this happy couple's faces!

Tristan says what he loves most about Brittany is her caring & giving heart and how she always brings out the best in him.

Brittany loves how patient & caring Tristan is and much of a gentleman he can be too!
(We all love a southern gentleman, right?!)

Brittany has some wonderful advice for future brides planning their big day:
"Never forget what it is really about and that is marrying your soul mate. Planning can get exhausting and tiring & you can really get caught up in it. It is about celebrating two people committing to spend the rest of their lives together and celebrating their love for one another."

This day was already a special day for Brittany because it was her niece's 1st birthday too! This adorable flower girl even got her own cake & crown during the reception! (Although she was a little too tired to enjoy it, haha!)

Another special part of their day was that their minister had known Brittany from high school where he was her coach!

It was a picture perfect exit when Brittany & Tristan left their reception on a boat! A fitting exit since as their preacher said during the ceremony, "In fishing, it's not official until you get it in the boat!" So now it's official! Congrats to the newlyweds!
